Safety, awareness and defensive skills
Prepared
is quiet.
Most of being prepared has nothing to do with a firearm. It is noticing early, stepping away, keeping your home safe, knowing the law, and being able to stop a bleed. When there is truly no other choice, it is the skill to end a threat safely. I teach all of it, at ranges and classrooms across the Triangle.
The approach
Avoid. Escape. Only then, defend.
Every class begins and ends with safety. Force is the last option, and most of what I teach is about never needing it.

- 01
Mindset & awareness
Notice early, avoid, de-escalate. The best outcome is the one where nothing happens.
- 02
Safety at home
Safe storage, kids and guests, and a family plan everyone in the house knows.
- 03
Skill
Safe handling first, then fundamentals, then defensive shooting under stress.
- 04
Judgment & the law
When force is justified, when it is not, and what happens in the hours after.
- 05
Care
Stop the bleed and trauma first aid. The life you save may be someone you love.
- 06
Practice
Skills fade. You leave every class with a plan to keep them, and reminders to use it.

Instructor
Jordan Hale
Calm, precise, and patient with beginners. I teach people to carry the responsibility, not just the firearm — and to know when the right answer is to leave.
About me →“I bought a pistol after a break-in on our street and was honestly scared of it. Jordan started with the safe and the kids, not the trigger. I sleep better now. ”
“The permit class covered the law. Carrying Responsibly is where I learned what carrying actually asks of you — including all the times you should walk away. ”
“Stop the Bleed should be required for everyone. I put a kit in both cars the same night. ”
